Description
Lindström uses 1% carbon/chrome ball-bearing-grade steel in manufacturing their top-of-the-line Rx series Cutters and Pliers. Computer controlled grinding of forged blanks guarantees edge angle accuracy and contact, which increases tool reliability and consistency. Precision induction hardening provides high Rockwell hardness (63-65 HRC) without brittleness, increasing tool life. Adjustable screw joint minimizes friction and maximizes alignment of cutting edges. Like all Rx Series Lindstrom pliers, ESD-safe grips are slightly rounded and wide for optimal surface distribution and contact. Rx pliers also feature Lindström’s exclusive, patent pending BioSpring that keeps its tension minimal and limited throughout its range of compression. Spring tension is also adjustable, and the spring is removable. The cutting capacity shown in the table below is for copper wire.
- Developed according to the scientific ERGO™ process
- ESD safe mono-material handles with return spring
- High performance alloyed steel polished finish
- Numerically controlled machine grinding guarantees accuracy and increases reliability & consistency
- Precision induction-hardened edges 63-65 HRC
- The cutting capacity that is given is for copper wire
- Screw joint that minimizes friction & maximizes jaw alignment
- Bio spring limits the tension throughout the working cycle of the tool & can be adjusted to 3 different positions or removed

Product Details
- Flush Cut Produces a cut profile similar to the Micro-Bevel, but with a less pronounced bevel and flatter surface. The edges of the cut wire are “pinched”, leaving a very narrow, short bevel in the center.
- Ultra-Flush Cut The precisely aligned and specially designed radii of the cutting edges produce a lead end that is almost entirely flat, with a barely discernable separating line. The ony trade-off is a more limited cutting range.
