The Fretz HMR-105 Silversmith Small Embossing Hammer is used to form small raised areas by hammering from the inside in preparation for chasing or general shaping. Imparts a fine, dimpled texture that can vary greatly according to force of impact.

Hammer Basics

Fretz Silversmithing Hammers are full-size, high-quality hammers with an average head length of 102 mm. The classic shapes are great for planishing, embossing, raising, and more. They feature 420 stainless steel heads hardened to 50Rc and polished to a mirror-bright finish. 250 mm (9.8”) long handles are meticulously fashioned from rosewood and shaped to provide perfect balance and control.
