The HMR-109 has two rectangular cross-peen faces that are broadly curved side-to-side with a shallow curve top-to-bottom. The Raising Hammer is great for forming broad, curved shapes and planishing the inside of tight curves, such as bangle bracelets. It can also be used as an embossing hammer to stretch metal from the inside. Overall length 10 1⁄4“.

Hammer Basics

Fretz Silversmithing Hammers are full-size, high-quality hammers with an average head length of 102 mm. The classic shapes are great for planishing, embossing, raising, and more. They feature 420 stainless steel heads hardened to 50Rc and polished to a mirror-bright finish. 250 mm (9.8”) long handles are meticulously fashioned from rosewood and shaped to provide perfect balance and control.
