Busch 3-in-1 Twincut Cup Bur

Category:

Description

It’s called a 3-in-1 cup bur because it shortens, rounds, and polishes in one easy step. Twincut geometry features Dual Chip Channels that permit a more rapid removal of excess material. There’s no need for multiple passes to allow for chip removal because of the Chip Channels. And as the bur rounds the article being worked, it polishes at the same time. Thinner cup walls make it easier to work on tightly spaced prongs. Made in Germany. 332” shanks.

Bur Basics

Cup Burs have cutting flutes on the inside of their cup-shaped heads for rounding wire ends and refining prong tips and rivet heads. Because they tends to clog easily, they should always be used with lubrication.

Vanadium Steel burs are economically priced. They cut precisely when new, but don’t retain their sharpness as long as other steel alloys.

3/32″ dia. shanks are the jeweler’s preferred standard for burs and small rotary tools. They fit the adjustable chucks found on most flexshaft handpieces as well as 3/32″ handpiece collets.
